Karate is a relatively inexpensive activity. For the purposes of clarity for individuals interested in pursuing karate we have laid out a short guide to some of the costs involved and equipment required to participate fully.
First and foremost is the association licence which entitles the individual to the rights and privileges as laid down by the constitution and by the laws of the association. Importantly, this includes your insurance and is renewed annually.
At present the association costs are as follows:
SENIOR LICENCE AND INSURANCE IS £17.00.
JUNIOR LICENCE AND INSURANCE IS £14.00.
Other costs incurred are the Club Fee which is given at every attendance and is presently as follows:
The grading fee is purely dependant on the grade that the individual is attempting.
A traditional cut uniform can be purchased through the Club.
Belts or 'obi' required for the different grades can be purchased at most well stocked sports outlets.
Protective equipment is required for all sparring that takes place in the Club or in competition.
